Job summary
The Accountant will manage day-to-day financial operations, ensure accurate record-keeping, support project-level financial reporting, and maintain compliance with Nigerian financial regulations.

Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, journals, and reconciliations
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports
- Manage accounts payable and receivable (corporate and project-level)
- Process payroll and statutory remittances (PAYE, Pension, NHF)
- Prepare and file tax returns (VAT, WHT, CIT); liaise with FIRS and state revenue authorities
- Track project budgets and expenditures; provide variance and cost analysis
- Monitor cash flow and prepare forecasts
- Support financial documentation for partnerships and joint ventures
- Maintain organised physical and digital financial filing systems
- Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and financial institutions
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- Minimum 2 years post-qualification accounting experience
- ICAN, ACCA membership, or progress is an advantage
- Real estate/construction/property development experience is a plus
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and reporting standards
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero
- Advanced Excel (pivot tables, financial models, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP)
- Ability to use AI tools (ChatGPT, Copilot) for workflow efficiency
- Familiarity with Google Workspace, OneDrive, or SharePoint
