JOB ROLE - ACCOUNTANT
JOB LOCATION - IYANA EJIGBO LAGOS
EMPLOYMENT TYPE- FULL TIME
COMPENSATION - ₦150,000
JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for preparing, examining, and analyzing financial records and ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
2. Manage vendor invoices, payments, and credits; ensure timely payment to suppliers and follow up on overdue payments from customers.
3. Implement effective inventory management practices, including tracking, valuation, and reconciliation.
4. Analyze and report on production costs, including labour, materials, and overhead expenses.
5. Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses to support business planning and decision-making.
6. Provide actionable financial insights to support business growth, improvement, and strategic decision-making.
7. Ensure adherence to accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal controls; identify and mitigate financial risks.
8. Reconcile general ledger accounts, bank statements, and other financial records.
9. Streamline financial processes, implement automation, and enhance internal controls.
10. Assist in coordinating internal and external audits, ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures, and assist in addressing audit findings.
11. Manage tax obligations, including calculations, payments, and returns.
12. Support business growth and strategic initiatives with financial planning, modelling, and analysis.
13. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including customer service, logistics, and sales.
14. Provide financial training and guidance to non-financial staff.
Required skills and qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field.
Professional certification is a plus
1-2years of experience in accounting or finance.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g ERP, Google sheet,MS Word and MS Excel skills.
Strong analytical and numerical skills, experience in account management, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
