Job summary
The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, monitoring transactions, and ensuring accuracy in financial operations. The role involves maintaining proper documentation, reconciling accounts, supporting budgeting processes, and ensuring compliance with financial policies and standards.

Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date financial records, ensuring all transactions are properly documented.
- Prepare periodic financial reports, statements, and summaries for management review.
- Monitor and reconcile bank accounts, ledgers, and other financial records to ensure accuracy.
- Process and verify invoices, payments, receipts, and other financial transactions.
- Assist in the preparation, monitoring, and control of budgets and forecasts.
- Ensure compliance with organizational financial policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Maintain proper filing and documentation of financial records for audit and reporting purposes.
- Assist with internal and external audits by providing required documentation and information.
- Monitor cash flow and report any discrepancies or financial risks to management.
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making and operational efficiency.
- Coordinate with internal departments and external stakeholders on financial matters.
- Ensure timely payment of obligations and accurate recording of receivables and payables.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, controls, and reporting systems.
- Perform any other accounting and finance-related duties as assigned.
Requirements:

Minimum of HND/B.Sc in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience in accounting and financial management.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and account reconciliation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Possess strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Professional accounting certification will be an added advantage.
Remuneration: NGN 400,000 – 500,000
