Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for an Accountant, based in Lagos, Nigeria, with flexibility for occasional onsite work. The Accountant will manage and maintain accurate financial records, handle accounts receivable and payable, ensure compliance with financial regulations, prepare tax documentation, and support audits. Other responsibilities include preparing financial statements, analyzing budgets, and providing recommendations for financial planning and cost efficiencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• Professional certification (ACA, ACCA, ICAN, or equivalent) or active pursuit of one.
• 2–4 years of accounting experience; prior experience in a multi-client or professional services environment is a strong plus.
• Solid working knowledge of accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple client workloads simultaneously.
• Clear, professional communication skills, as you'll be interfacing directly with business owners.
• Familiarity with Nigerian tax and regulatory requirements (FIRS, LIRS, PENCOM, etc.) preferred.
