Job summary
The accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, managing accounts, and ensuring compliance with applicable financial regulations and company policies. The role supports management with timely financial information and contributes to sound financial decision-making.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and journals.
- Process accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing and payment tracking.
- Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts regularly.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Ensure compliance with tax laws, statutory filings, and regulatory requirements.
- Support internal and external audits by providing the required documentation.
- Monitor expenses and ensure adherence to approved budgets.
- Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records.
- Provide financial analysis and reports to management as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years’ relevant accounting experience
- Professional certification (e.g., ICAN, ACCA, ACA, CPA) is an added advantage
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations
- High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
