Job summary
The Accountant/Finance Officer will support the finance function by assisting in financial reporting, budgeting, reconciliations, payroll administration, statutory compliance, and month-end/year-end closing activities.

Responsibilities:
- Provides inputs in the preparation of management accounts.
- Assisting in the financial planning process, preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Management of fixed asset schedules for depreciation, amortization, additions & Disposals
- Maintaining appropriate schedules like accruals, prepayments, premium deposits etc.
- Raising and posting of recurrent journals for prepayments & accruals.
- Carrying out periodic bank reconciliations & postings.
- Periodic execution of intercompany reconciliations & settlements.
- Implement periodic GL review for accuracy & corrections where necessary.
- Staff monthly payroll preparation, analysis, and staff loan management.
- Ensured timely filings of statutory payments & taxes.
- Attending to audit requests both internal & statutory.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
Requirements
- B.sc in Finance/ accounting
- ACA or ACA in view
- Minimum 3 years' experience
- Proficient in EXCEL, QUICKBOOK AND POWERPOINT
- Previous experience in a financial institution is an added advantage.
