Job summary

We are currently seeking a qualified Account Officer to join our team. You will be responsible for maintaining digital and physical records of financial documents, preparing annual budgets and financial forecasts, and ensuring compliance with financial state and federal laws and regulations. As Account Officer, you will also analyze financial data to provide insights and implement strategies for business improvement and provide support during financial audits and tax preparation. Our ideal Account Officer should have exquisite analytical, communication, financial management, and problem-solving skills.

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and monitor the company’s accounting records, payables, receivables, general ledger, and other financial data
  • Prepare annual budgets and financial forecasts
  • Process and maintain invoices, bills, payments, and other transactions
  • Prepare and maintain digital and physical records of financial documents
  • Identify and resolve account issues, queries, and irregularities
  • Inspect financial documentation to ensure compliance with state and federal laws and regulations
  • Reconcile bank and credit statements regularly
  • Analyse financial documentation to provide insights and recommendations for business improvement
  • Provide support and guidance during financial audits and tax preparation


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, statistics, business administration, or a related field
  • Prior working experience as an Account Officer or in a similar role
  • Familiarity with CRM, analytical, and accounting software and tools
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is an advantage
  • Exceptional communication and customer service
  • Ability to work both as part of a team and independently
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Problem-solving
  • Time management and organisation
  • Must reside within Ikeja or its environs
