Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, receivable, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review
- Develop and maintain effective accounting systems, internal controls, and financial procedures
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, statutory requirements, and industry financial standards
- Coordinate external audits and support internal audit processes when required
- Monitor company budgets, cash flow, and financial performance to support business objectives
- Provide financial analysis and advisory support to management for operational and strategic decisions
- Manage proper documentation, filing systems, and financial record archiving
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline
- Professional certification, such as ICAN, is an added advantage
- Minimum of 4 years’ relevant accounting or finance experience, preferably within the Oil & Gas sector
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, taxation, budgeting, and compliance procedures
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- High level of integrity, accuracy, and confidentiality
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
