Job Overview:
We are seeking a Telecommunication Account Manager to manage and grow key telecom accounts in Nigeria and across Africa. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in telecom sales, account management, and customer relations, with the ability to drive revenue and collaborate effectively with internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Target Management:
* Meet and exceed sales targets for telecom products in assigned accounts, ensuring revenue growth within set timelines.
Customer Relationship Development:
* Build and maintain strong relationships with telecom operators, channel partners, and key stakeholders. Understand customer needs and propose tailored solutions.
Account Management & Support:
* Manage commercial and technical sales requests, coordinate with internal teams, and ensure smooth delivery of products and services. Resolve client issues promptly.
Sales Presentations and Proposals:
* Conduct presentations to promote telecom products, prepare proposals, and respond to customer inquiries with relevant quotations.
Market Intelligence & Reporting:
* Analyse market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback. Provide monthly reports on account performance, sales forecasts, and opportunities for new products.
Collaboration with Internal Teams:
* Work with cross-functional teams to ensure customer needs are met. Act as a liaison between clients and internal teams to deliver optimal solutions.
Education:
* Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Electronics, Marketing, or related field.
Experience:
* At least 5 years in telecom sales or account management, preferably within an international telecom company or OEM.
* Experience with telecom operators and channel partners is a plus.
Skills & Competencies:
* Strong communication and presentation skills.
* In-depth knowledge of telecom products and services.
* Excellent relationship-building and teamwork abilities.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Other Attributes:
* Proactive, results-oriented, with problem-solving and negotiation skills. Willing to travel across Africa for business development and client meetings.
