Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Operate, monitor, and optimize automated door manufacturing machinery to achieve maximum production efficiency.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve mechanical, electrical, and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC)-related faults to minimize equipment downtime.
• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on all production machinery and equipment.
• Ensure all machines are properly calibrated, serviced, and maintained in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
• Monitor equipment performance and recommend process improvements to enhance productivity, product quality, and operational efficiency.
• Supervise the installation, testing, and maintenance of production machinery where required.
• Work closely with Roll Forming Machine Operators to ensure the smooth operation of the production line and adherence to established procedures.
• Interpret engineering drawings, machine manuals, and technical documentation to support production and maintenance activities.
• Maintain accurate maintenance schedules, equipment service records, and technical reports.
• Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards within the factory.
• Train and provide technical guidance to machine operators on equipment operation and routine maintenance.
• Collaborate with management to implement continuous improvement initiatives that reduce downtime, improve product quality, and optimize production costs.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum of five (5) years' hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Previous experience working in an aluminium corrugation manufacturing company is required.
• Hands-on experience operating, troubleshooting, maintaining, and optimizing Programmable Logic Controller (PLC)-controlled production machinery is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of industrial automation, mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, machine manuals, and technical documentation.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication, leadership, and teamwork abilities.
