Job summary
The Workshop Manager is responsible for managing the company’s fleet maintenance operations. This includes overseeing vehicle servicing, repairs, spare parts inventory, team supervision, and ensuring minimal downtime of trucks and other equipment. The role ensures the roadworthiness of all vehicles to support smooth haulage operations.

Responsibilities:
- Plan, schedule, and oversee routine maintenance and repairs of all vehicles and equipment.
- Supervise workshop technicians and mechanics; assign tasks and monitor performance.
- Ensure all trucks are serviced and roadworthy in compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Maintain service records and generate regular reports on fleet condition.
- Monitor inventory of tools, equipment, and spare parts; make purchase requisitions as needed.
- Diagnose mechanical faults and liaise with vendors when necessary.
- Respond to breakdowns promptly and coordinate emergency repairs.
- Liaise with the Operations and Logistics team to align vehicle availability with delivery schedules.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient workshop environment
Requirements:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a fleet maintenance/workshop management role.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, heavy-duty trucks, and haulage vehicle systems.
- Excellent supervisory and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
