We are seeking a skilled and experienced Welder to join our team. The Welder will be responsible for welding, cutting, assembling, and repairing metal structures and components according to technical drawings and project specifications. Responsibilities:
- Perform welding activities using MIG, TIG, ARC, and gas welding techniques as required.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding specifications.
- Cut, shape, and prepare metal materials for welding and fabrication.
- Weld and assemble metal structures, pipes, frames, machinery parts, and other components.
- Inspect welded joints and finished products to ensure quality and structural integrity.
- Repair damaged or defective metal components and structures.
- Measure and align materials accurately before welding.
- Operate welding machines, grinders, cutting equipment, and other fabrication tools safely.
- Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting of welding equipment.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of welding materials and equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all workplace health, safety, and environmental procedures.
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Work closely with fabricators, engineers, technicians, and site supervisors.
- Complete assigned welding and fabrication tasks within project timelines.
Requirements:
- Proven years of relevant welding experience.
- Proven practical experience in welding and metal fabrication.
- Proficiency in ARC, MIG, TIG, or gas welding techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and welding specifications.
- Good knowledge of different metals, welding rods, wires, and fabrication materials.
- Ability to operate welding machines and metal-cutting equipment safely.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good hand-eye coordination and mechanical aptitude.
- Physically fit and able to work in demanding environments.
- Strong understanding of workplace safety procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Welding trade certification or apprenticeship training is an advantage.
