Welder

Responsibilities:

• Perform welding activities using MIG, TIG, ARC, and gas welding techniques as required.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding specifications.
• Cut, shape, and prepare metal materials for welding and fabrication.
• Weld and assemble metal structures, pipes, frames, machinery parts, and other components.
• Inspect welded joints and finished products to ensure quality and structural integrity.
• Repair damaged or defective metal components and structures.
• Measure and align materials accurately before welding.
• Operate welding machines, grinders, cutting equipment, and other fabrication tools safely.
• Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting of welding equipment.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of welding materials and equipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all workplace health, safety, and environmental procedures.
• Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
• Work closely with fabricators, engineers, technicians, and site supervisors.
• Complete assigned welding and fabrication tasks within project timelines.

Requirements:

• Proven years of relevant welding experience.
• Proven practical experience in welding and metal fabrication.
• Proficiency in ARC, MIG, TIG, or gas welding techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and welding specifications.
• Good knowledge of different metals, welding rods, wires, and fabrication materials.
• Ability to operate welding machines and metal-cutting equipment safely.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good hand-eye coordination and mechanical aptitude.
• Physically fit and able to work in demanding environments.
• Strong understanding of workplace safety procedures.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Welding trade certification or apprenticeship training is an advantage.
