Wartsila Power Plant Operator
Job summary
We are seeking a Power Plant Operator with hands-on experience operating and maintaining Wärtsilä gas engines in an FMCG or manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the power plant, including engine start-up and shutdown.

Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor Wärtsilä gas engines and associated power plant equipment.
- Carry out engine start-up, shutdown and synchronisation procedures safely and efficiently.
- Monitor and manage the LT/HT water circuits of the engine.
- Conduct routine checks and monitor engine performance to identify abnormalities or faults.
- Perform and support engine maintenance activities in line with operational requirements.
- Maintain proper operating records and report equipment issues promptly.
- Ensure compliance with plant safety procedures and operational standards.
Requirements:
- HND in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering field.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in a power plant, FMCG or manufacturing environment.
- Proven hands-on experience operating Wärtsilä gas engines.
- Practical knowledge of engine shutdown and synchronisation.
- Good understanding of engine operation and maintenance.
- Knowledge of LT/HT water circuits and their operation.
- Strong troubleshooting, monitoring and problem-solving skills.
- Must be available to resume immediately.
