Warehouse Supervisor

Responsibilities:

• Supervise the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch of goods.
• Coordinate the loading and unloading of deliveries to ensure the timely receipt and shipment of products.
• Ensure products are stored correctly to prevent damage, spoilage, or loss.
• Monitor warehouse activities to ensure compliance with company procedures and operational standards.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure stock levels are updated in the inventory management system.
• Conduct routine cycle counts and periodic stock-taking exercises.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
• Monitor product shelf life and ensure proper stock rotation using the First-In, First-Out (FIFO) or First-Expiry, First-Out (FEFO) principles where applicable.
• Coordinate with procurement and sales teams to maintain optimal inventory levels.
• Supervise, train, and motivate warehouse staff to achieve productivity and operational targets.
• Assign daily tasks and monitor employee performance.
• Ensure adherence to workplace safety procedures and company policies.
• Foster teamwork and maintain a positive working environment.
• Ensure compliance with warehouse health, safety, and security standards.
• Monitor the proper use and maintenance of warehouse equipment.
• Report accidents, damaged goods, equipment faults, and safety hazards promptly.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards applicable to FMCG operations.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly warehouse performance reports.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as order accuracy, inventory accuracy, dispatch timelines, and warehouse productivity.
• Collaborate with logistics, procurement, sales, and finance teams to ensure smooth supply chain operations.
• Recommend process improvements to enhance warehouse efficiency and reduce operational costs.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree, HND, or OND in supply chain or a related field.
• Proven years of warehouse or inventory management experience, preferably within an FMCG, manufacturing, retail, or distribution environment.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and stock management.
• Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP systems, or inventory management software.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet operational deadlines.
