Job summary
We are seeking an experienced, organized, and results-driven Warehouse Supervisor to oversee the daily warehouse operations of our supermarket business.

Responsibilities:
- Supervise the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch of goods.
- Coordinate the loading and unloading of deliveries to ensure the timely receipt and shipment of products.
- Ensure products are stored correctly to prevent damage, spoilage, or loss.
- Monitor warehouse activities to ensure compliance with company procedures and operational standards.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure stock levels are updated in the inventory management system.
- Conduct routine cycle counts and periodic stock-taking exercises.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
- Monitor product shelf life and ensure proper stock rotation using the First-In, First-Out (FIFO) or First-Expiry, First-Out (FEFO) principles where applicable.
- Coordinate with procurement and sales teams to maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Supervise, train, and motivate warehouse staff to achieve productivity and operational targets.
- Assign daily tasks and monitor employee performance.
- Ensure adherence to workplace safety procedures and company policies.
- Foster teamwork and maintain a positive working environment.
- Ensure compliance with warehouse health, safety, and security standards.
- Monitor the proper use and maintenance of warehouse equipment.
- Report accidents, damaged goods, equipment faults, and safety hazards promptly.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards applicable to FMCG operations.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly warehouse performance reports.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as order accuracy, inventory accuracy, dispatch timelines, and warehouse productivity.
- Collaborate with logistics, procurement, sales, and finance teams to ensure smooth supply chain operations.
- Recommend process improvements to enhance warehouse efficiency and reduce operational costs.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree, HND, or OND in supply chain or a related field.
- Proven years of warehouse or inventory management experience, preferably within an FMCG, manufacturing, retail, or distribution environment.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and stock management.
- Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP systems, or inventory management software.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet operational deadlines.
