Responsibilities:
Warehouse Operations:
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against purchase orders and delivery notes.
- Ensure all goods are accurately recorded and properly stored.
- Maintain organized warehouse layouts for easy accessibility.
- Supervise loading and offloading activities.
- Ensure timely picking, packing, and dispatch of customer orders.
- Monitor warehouse cleanliness and housekeeping standards.
- Coordinate the movement of products between warehouses and project sites.
Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate inventory records using manual and computerized inventory systems.
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly stock counts.
- Perform periodic cycle counts and annual stock-taking exercises.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor stock levels and notify management of low or excess inventory.
- Ensure First-In-First-Out (FIFO) principles are consistently applied where applicable.
Materials Control:
- Monitor storage conditions to preserve product quality.
- Ensure proper handling of construction chemicals and sensitive materials.
- Prevent product damage, contamination, and deterioration.
- Monitor expiry dates and shelf-life of products where applicable.
- Minimize material losses through effective warehouse controls.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Prepare Goods Received Notes (GRNs).
- Process Goods Issue Vouchers (GIVs).
- Maintain bin cards and stock registers.
- Update inventory records promptly after every transaction.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports.
- Support internal and external audits by providing accurate warehouse documentation.
Safety & Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with warehouse safety procedures and company HSE policies.
- Maintain safe storage of hazardous and chemical products.
- Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Report accidents, damages, and safety hazards immediately.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Coordination:
- Work closely with Procurement, Sales, Production, Logistics, and Finance departments.
- Coordinate timely dispatch of products to customers and project sites.
- Assist in resolving inventory-related issues affecting operations.
- Liaise with transport providers for efficient deliveries.
Asset & Equipment Management:
- Monitor warehouse equipment and storage facilities.
- Report equipment faults requiring maintenance.
- Ensure pallets, racks, forklifts, and warehouse tools are properly utilized and maintained.
- Safeguard company property and warehouse assets.
Requirements:
- Minimum qualification of HND.
- 2 years of previous experience in a similar role.
