Warehouse Manager
Job summary
He/She is responsible for the efficient management of all warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory control, material issuance, stock reconciliation, and dispatch activities. The role ensures the availability, security, and accuracy of all equipment and consumables required for company operations and project execution.
Job descriptions & requirements
Warehouse Operations Management:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the warehouse.
- Ensure all incoming materials are properly received, inspected, documented, and stored.
- Maintain an organised warehouse with proper zoning, binning, and labelling systems.
- Ensure compliance with warehouse procedures and company policies.
- Monitor housekeeping standards and maintain a safe working environment.
Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate inventory records for all equipment, consumables and tools.
- Ensure all stock movements are properly documented and updated in the inventory tracking system.
- Conduct regular stock counts, cycle counts, and inventory reconciliations.
- Ensure inventory accuracy is maintained at all times.
Material Receiving and Inspection:
- Verify deliveries against purchase orders, delivery notes, and approved specifications.
- Report damaged, defective, or non-conforming materials immediately.
- Ensure proper documentation and traceability of all received materials.
Material Issuance and Project Support:
- Issue materials only against approved Material Requisition Forms (MRFs) or authorised requests.
- Ensure all issued materials are assigned to the correct project code.
- Maintain records of materials issued, returned, damaged, or transferred.
- Support project teams by ensuring timely availability of required materials.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare and submit periodic reports including Weekly stock status reports, Inventory reconciliation reports, Material issuance reports
- Slow-moving and obsolete stock reports
- Damaged and expired stock reports
- Monthly inventory valuation reports
Requirements:
- A minimum of a degree in a related field.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience.
