Etavod Video Scriptwriting Services Limited specialises in video scriptwriting, script research, video production, and digital content development. We are looking for a talented and dedicated Scriptwriter / Screenwriter to join our team. The ideal candidate is a strong writer who can conduct thorough research, turn information into compelling stories, and develop scripts for different formats, audiences, subjects, and platforms. This role is particularly suited to someone who enjoys storytelling, research, factual content, and developing ideas into engaging scripts.
Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Research topics thoroughly and gather reliable information and source materials.
- Write engaging scripts, screenplays, narrations, and other video content.
- Review videos, audio recordings, documents, and other source materials.
- Develop compelling stories with strong structure, pacing, and audience engagement.
- Rewrite and refine scripts based on feedback.
- Ensure scripts are accurate, clear, original, and grammatically correct.
- Support content development for company-owned and client projects.
- Organise research materials, references, and project files.
Requirements:
- A minimum of an OND, or relevant qualification in English, mass communication, journalism, creative writing, film/TV, theatre arts, communications, or a related field.
- Previous scriptwriting/screenwriting experience is an advantage.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Strong research and information-gathering ability.
- Candidates with exceptional writing ability may be considered regardless of educational background.
Required Skills:
- Excellent storytelling and writing skills.
- Strong research and fact-checking skills.
- Ability to turn raw information into compelling narratives.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work independently.
- Willingness to learn and accept feedback.
- Computer literacy: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Docs, Google Sheets, etc.
- Basic familiarity with photo/video/audio editing and digital content tools is an advantage.
Location: Kuola, Ibadan
Remuneration: NGN 100,000 Monthly (with future salary reviews based on performance and company policy.)
