Job Summary

We are looking to hire a suitable candidate to fill this position. The ideal candidate will serve in a leadership capacity, and is involved in coordinating the schedule of duties of, and managing the teachers as it relates to academic matters of the school.

  • Minimum Qualification : HND
  • Experience Level : Senior level
  • Experience Length : 8 years

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Lead on such areas as curriculum development, timetabling and internal/external assessments/examinations
  • Ensures that all academic infrastructure function perfectly and are in the state that promotes an effective and enjoyable learning experience for students
  • Set ambitious and challenging targets at individual learner, subject and school level.
  • Audit, monitor and evaluate the quality and impact of curriculum content and delivery to ensure that it is innovative, takes into consideration the latest educational thinking and developments, is fit for purpose and meets the needs of all learners.
  • Ensure that robust systems are in place for tracking and monitoring the progress of learners at school and individual level.
  • Responsible for tracking student progress by monitoring and analyzing student assessment data wholistically to highlight areas of concern, identify areas of improvement and recommend appropriate interventions to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Oversee the conduct of the intervention programme, review, report on, and make recommendations for (and implement) improvement to ensure effectiveness.
  • Ensure deployment of quality assurance processes to drive improvement and raise standards, and implement the academic suggestions of the Quality Assurance Unit.
  • Assist in developing school-level visions, frameworks and policies to guide teaching, learning or assessment.
  • Oversee the implementation of the school’s blueprint on ICT for teaching and learning
  • Implementation of Standards and Norms of British and Nigerian Curricular.


Requirements:

  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in school administration with at least 4 years of experience of which should be in the role of vice principal of a reputable secondary school
