Sustainability Associate
Job summary
We are seeking a highly analytical and passionate Sustainability Associate to support the implementation of our Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) strategy across Nigeria. The successful candidate will assist in ESG data collection, sustainability reporting, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder engagement

Responsibilities:
- Collect, analyze, and maintain ESG and sustainability data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Support the preparation of ESG reports, dashboards and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitor ESG regulations, sustainability standards and reporting frameworks.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with environmental laws, policies and corporate sustainability requirements.
- Collaborate with internal departments to gather sustainability-related information and performance metrics.
- Support stakeholder engagement activities relating to sustainability initiatives.
- Maintain ESG databases, documentation and reporting records.
- Establish and improve sustainability data tracking and verification processes.
- Participate in the planning and execution of sustainability and environmental projects.
- Identify opportunities to improve ESG performance and support implementation of improvement initiatives.
- Research emerging sustainability trends, climate initiatives, and ESG best practices.
- Support environmental awareness and sustainability communication campaigns across the business.
- Travel across various company locations within Nigeria as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree (First Class) in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Environmental Engineering, Business Administration, Economics or any related discipline.
- 1–3 years' relevant experience in Sustainability, ESG, Environmental Management, Environmental Compliance or Corporate Sustainability.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to analyze and interpret data.
- Experience with data management and reporting tools (Power BI is an advantage).
- Knowledge of ESG principles, sustainability reporting standards, and environmental regulations.
- Strong research and documentation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Close attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
- Willingness to travel across Nigeria.
