Studio Manager
Job summary
We are seeking an experienced and creative Studio Manager to oversee the daily operations of a studio. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing studio activities, coordinating photographers and videographers, ensuring equipment is properly maintained, scheduling shoots, managing clients, and ensuring all productions are successful.

Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operations and activities of the photography and videography studio.
- Coordinate photographers, videographers, editors, assistants, and other creative team members.
- Plan and manage studio schedules, bookings, productions, and client sessions.
- Communicate with clients to understand their creative requirements and ensure their expectations are met.
- Coordinate studio setup, lighting, backdrops, props, cameras, audio equipment, and other production materials.
- Ensure all studio equipment is properly maintained, stored, and ready for use.
- Monitor the condition and availability of cameras, lenses, lighting equipment, tripods, microphones, and other production tools.
- Supervise studio shoots and ensure productions run smoothly and efficiently.
- Develop and implement studio procedures to improve workflow, productivity, and quality.
- Coordinate outdoor and on-location photography and videography assignments when required.
- Work closely with creative teams to develop concepts and production plans for projects.
- Monitor project timelines and ensure completed content is delivered within agreed deadlines.
- Maintain records of studio bookings, equipment usage, projects, and expenses.
- Assist with budgeting, procurement, and inventory management for studio equipment and supplies.
- Ensure the studio is clean, organized, professional, and suitable for client sessions and productions.
- Monitor health and safety procedures during studio and production activities.
- Resolve operational issues and coordinate repairs or replacements of faulty equipment.
- Support business development by identifying opportunities to attract new clients and increase studio bookings.
- Stay updated on current photography, videography, lighting, and content-production trends.
- Prepare regular reports on studio activities, bookings, projects, equipment, and performance.
Requirements:
- Minimum of an OND in Photography, Mass Communication, Film Production, Media Studies, Fine Arts, or a related field.
- Proven years of experience in studio management, photography, videography, media production, or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of photography and videography equipment, including cameras, lenses, lighting, audio, and studio accessories.
- Experience managing creative teams and coordinating production schedules.
- Proficiency with relevant editing or production software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop,Lightroom, After Effects, or similar tools is an advantage.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and client-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple productions and deadlines simultaneously.
- Good understanding of studio lighting, composition, sound, and video production workflows.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or evenings when required.
- A strong portfolio or demonstrated experience in photography/videography production is an added advantage.
