Store Keeper/Inventory Officer
Job summary
We are seeking a responsible and detail-oriented Store Keeper (Inventory Officer) to manage and oversee materials and inventory for our residential construction project in Mowe. The ideal candidate will ensure proper storage, documentation, and issuance of materials to support smooth site operations.
Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and record incoming materials and supplies
- Maintain accurate stock records and inventory logs
- Issue materials to site personnel based on authorized requests
- Ensure proper storage and safety of all items in the store
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages promptly
- Prevent loss, damage, or misuse of materials
- Coordinate with site engineers and supervisors on material needs
- Conduct regular stock taking and reconciliation
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Store Keeper, preferably on construction or residential projects
- Basic knowledge of construction materials and tools
- Good record-keeping and organizational skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Integrity and strong attention to detail
- Minimum of ND/HND; additional certification is an advantage
