Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Social Media Manager role based in Maiduguri. The Social Media Manager will plan, create, and publish content across the college’s social media platforms, ensuring consistent branding and messaging. Responsibilities include developing and executing social media campaigns, optimizing posts for reach and engagement, monitoring analytics, and preparing performance reports. The role involves collaborating with academic and administrative teams to promote programs, events, and student stories, as well as responding to comments and messages in a timely and professional manner. The Social Media Manager will stay updated on platform trends and best practices to enhance the college’s online presence and community engagement.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess skills in Social Media Marketing and Social Media Optimization (SMO) to plan and execute effective campaigns.
- Candidates should possess skills in Content Strategy and Writing to create engaging, audience-focused content.
- Candidates should possess strong Communication skills for clear messaging and collaboration with internal stakeholders.
- Candidates should have familiarity with major social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn) and basic analytics tools.
- Relevant experience in managing organizational or brand social media accounts, preferably in education or related sectors.
- Ability to work on-site in Maiduguri, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Post-secondary education in Marketing, Communications, Media, or a related field is beneficial.
- Knowledge of graphic design or basic video editing tools is an advantage.
