Social Media Handler

Responsibilities:

• Repost and repurpose our blog content across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and X/Twitter
• Create and edit short-form videos and graphics for original posts (using CapCut, Canva, etc.)
• Source and curate trending content around fashion, entertainment, politics, and current events relevant to our audience
• Maintain a consistent daily/weekly posting schedule across all platforms
• Add captions, subtitles, and branding elements to video content before posting
• Monitor trends and viral formats to keep content timely and engaging
• Engage with comments and DMs to build community
• Track basic engagement metrics and flag what's performing well

Requirements:

• 1–2+ years of experience handling social media accounts for a brand, blog, or page
• Strong video/photo editing skills (CapCut, Canva, Adobe Premiere, or similar)
• Good news sense – able to spot and curate relevant trending stories quickly
• Comfortable researching and verifying content before posting
• Basic copywriting skills for captions
• Familiarity with posting/scheduling tools (Meta Business Suite, Buffer, Later, etc.)
• Strong sense of current affairs, fashion, and entertainment trends
• Reliable, consistent, and able to post daily without close supervision
