Social Media Associate

Responsibilities:

Strategy & Growth:

• Research, develop, test, and report on custom social growth strategies across awareness, acquisition, retention, and conversion funnels, specifically tailored to Web3 audiences.
• Use analytics, SEO research, and community insights to identify content gaps and growth opportunities, and present regular performance reports with actionable recommendations.

Content & Publishing:

• Create and publish high-quality content (articles, animated videos, reels, memes, newsletters) across Twitter/X, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, and crypto-native platforms.
• Manage cross-platform content scheduling, automation workflows, and publishing calendars to ensure consistent, timely output.
• Repost and distribute content snippets across public directories such as Medium, Quora, and crypto-native platforms like CoinMarketCap Community.
• Collaborate with the graphic designer to ensure professional, on-brand visuals for all publications.

Community & Events:

• Serve as lead community manager across all DeFi Planet channels: Twitter/X, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and Telegram.
• Engaging the audience through responses, polls, DMs, and resharing.
• Plan, host, and manage public-facing events including AMAs, Twitter/X Spaces, and podcast episodes, coordinating guests, formats, and follow-up content.
• Proactively interface with clients, blockchain projects, and third-party partners to build and maintain positive working relationships.
• Stay current with crypto regulatory developments, market trends, and emerging Web3 narratives to keep content timely and relevant.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in social media management and content marketing, with demonstrable ownership of strategy and results.
• Proven track record of researching, executing, and reporting on social growth strategies for Web3 projects, crypto media, or blockchain-focused organisations.
• Experience hosting or co-hosting public-facing events such as AMAs, X Spaces, or podcast shows.
• Solid understanding of blockchain technology, DeFi, and the broader crypto economy.
• Proficiency with cross-platform content scheduling tools, automation workflows, and analytics/reporting platforms.
• Native-level English communication skills (written and spoken).
• Strong organisational, project management, and multitasking abilities.

Desirable:

• Experience managing presence on crypto-native platforms such as CoinMarketCap Community, CoinGecko, and similar.
• Background in a Web3 publication, crypto media company, or blockchain project.
• Familiarity with paid social advertising and performance marketing in the crypto/Web3 space.
• Interest in or knowledge of emerging technologies (AI, data science).

• Self-starter with strong initiative and minimal need for supervision.
• Strategically minded with a hands-on, "can-do" execution style.
• Collaborative team player who can also interface professionally with external stakeholders.
• Ambitious about contributing to the growth of a Web3 media startup.

Remuneration: NGN 120,000 Monthly  + discretionary performance bonus.
