Site Acquisition Officer
Job summary
The Site Acquisition Officer is responsible for identifying and securing new sites for mini-grid development. This is a field-based and target-driven role, requiring strong community engagement skills, good local knowledge, and the ability to operate independently in rural areas.

Responsibilities:
Site Identification & Acquisition:
- Identify and assess potential communities for mini-grid deployment.
- Secure initial commitments for the project with target communities.
Community Engagement:
- Engage with village leaders and key stakeholders.
- Secure community commitment to the project.
Field Data Collection:
- Execute preliminary assessment on all the identified sites.
- Collect preliminary site data.
Coordination & Reporting:
- Work closely with the Field Supervisors and the Community management team.
- Submit weekly activity reports.
- Submit structured site reports in WeLight format.
Compliance & Conduct:
- Follow WeLight’s site acquisition processes and approval protocols.
Requirements:
- Minimum qualification of BSc.
- 2 years of previous experience in a similar role.
