Senior Business Development Executive responsible for driving revenue growth, acquiring high-value clients, managing strategic relationships, and expanding market presence. Owns sales pipeline, closes deals, supports portfolio growth, and strengthens the company's position in Nigeria’s insurance brokerage market.

Responsibilities:
Business Development & Revenue Growth:
- Identify, pursue, and convert new business opportunities across corporate, SME, and institutional clients.
- Develop and manage a strong pipeline of qualified prospects.
- Lead client pitches, proposals, and negotiations through to deal closure.
- Support renewal discussions and drive portfolio expansion through cross-selling
- Meet and exceed agreed revenue and new business targets.
Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with senior decision-makers and key stakeholders.
- Act as a trusted service contact for assigned clients and prospects.
- Understand client risk profiles and work with technical teams to design appropriate insurance solutions.
- Support client onboarding and ensure smooth handover to servicing teams.
Market Intelligence & Positioning:
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging client needs.
- Identify sectors and client segments with strong growth potential.
- Represent KBC professionally at industry events, client meetings, and networking forums.
- Provide market insights to management to support commercial strategy.
Internal Collaboration & Execution:
- Work closely with technical and operations to ensure accurate and timely service delivery.
- Ensure all business development activities comply with NAICOM regulations and internal policies.
- Maintain accurate records of opportunities, client interactions, and revenue forecasts.
- Contribute to improving business development processes and client acquisition strategies.
Reporting & Performance Management:
- Track and report on leads, opportunities, and revenue performance.
- Provide regular pipeline updates and forecasts to management.
- Support branch and firm-wide commercial planning activities.
Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Insurance, or a related field.
- 5-8 years’ experience in business development, sales, or client acquisition.
- Experience in insurance, financial, or professional services.
- Proven ability to close complex or high-value deals.
- Strong understanding of relationship-based selling.
- Track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
