Senior Business Development Associate
Job summary
The Senior Business Development Associate will acquire, activate, and scale revenue-generating customers in line with Orchid HR’s FY2026 strategy. The role drives corridor-led growth, product adoption, and partner-led distribution across YoguPay’s FX, Treasury, WaaS, vIBANs, Global Payouts, and Stablecoin solutions.

Responsibilities:
Market & Corridor Development:
- Own and develop priority trade and payment corridors relevant to Nigeria.
- Identify, target, and acquire high-volume customers across import/export, fintech, PSPs, marketplaces, payroll, logistics, and travel sectors.
- Build and manage a corridor-focused pipeline aligned to revenue and TPV targets.
Revenue & Client Acquisition:
- Manage the full commercial lifecycle from prospecting to client activation.
- Close revenue-generating deals across FX, payouts, collections, WaaS, vIBANs, and crypto rails (where applicable).
- Work closely with Treasury to align pricing, liquidity, and execution readiness.
Client Activation & Early Growth:
- Ensure newly onboarded clients complete first transactions within agreed SLAs.
- Proactively resolve activation blockers, including pricing, compliance, and operational constraints.
- Support smooth handover of activated accounts to Account Management or Treasury Sales teams.
Partnerships & Embedded Distribution:
- Support partner-led acquisition through ERP, payroll, marketplace, and PSP integrations.
- Participate in co-selling initiatives with banks, fintechs, and SaaS platforms.
- Contribute to partnership proposals, pitch decks, and commercial documentation.
Internal Collaboration & Reporting:
- Collaborate closely with Compliance, Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Treasury teams.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, including pipeline stage, expected TPV, product mix, and activation status.
- Prepare and submit weekly and monthly performance reports.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.
- 3–7 years of experience in fintech, payments, FX, banking, or treasury-related sales.
- Proven experience selling B2B financial, API-driven, or platform products is an added advantage.
- Strong understanding of cross-border payments and African/global trade corridors.
