Job summary
A highly experienced senior baker (production & equipment testing) to support structured bread production, equipment calibration, and batch standardisation. The ideal candidate must have strong hands-on experience operating modern commercial bakery equipment and delivering consistent production results in a commercial environment.
Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Produce bread using commercial bakery equipment
- Operate and calibrate deck ovens, rotary ovens, mixers, and proofing systems
- Follow structured recipes and batch measurements accurately
- Monitor hydration levels, dough development, proofing time, and baking temperatures
- Ensure consistent flour-to-output conversion
- Maintain production discipline and product quality standards
- Support production testing and workflow optimisation
- Maintain hygiene and food safety standards
Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in a commercial bakery environment
- Proven experience with modern bakery equipment
- Strong technical understanding of bread production processes
- Ability to work with standardised recipes and structured production systems
- Strong attention to detail and consistency
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
- Good teamwork and communication skills
