Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and review the work of junior accountants to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and management reports.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts and financial records.
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
- Support audits by providing required financial documentation and explanations.
- Monitor and analyze accounting data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
- Assist in financial forecasting, cost control, and performance analysis.
- Develop and implement accounting procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies when necessary.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certification such as ICAN, ACCA, or CPA (preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax laws.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Sage, or ERP systems).
- Excellent analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
