Section Engineer
Job summary
The Section Engineer is responsible for the technical planning, supervision, and execution of assigned civil construction works to ensure delivery in line with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, budget, and schedule.

Responsibilities:
- Execute and supervise civil works (earthworks, structural concrete, drainage, roadworks, etc.)
- Interpret drawings, BOQs, and technical specifications for accurate site implementation
- Coordinate subcontractors, workforce, materials, and equipment within the assigned section
- Monitor progress against the work program and resolve technical site challenges
- Enforce quality control procedures and inspection standards
- Ensure strict compliance with HSE regulations and safe work practices
- Prepare technical reports, site records, and progress updates
Requirements:
- Minimum of an HND in Civil Engineering
- Registered with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN Certification – Mandatory)
- MSc in Project Management or a recognized Project Management Certification
- Minimum of 7 years’ construction industry experience
- PMP or equivalent Project Management certification, HSE Certification (e.g., NEBOSH) is an added advantage.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project)
