Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor screening machines and related equipment.
- Feed raw materials into screening equipment according to production requirements.
- Separate and grade materials according to specified sizes and quality standards.
- Monitor the screening process to ensure consistent production output.
- Inspect screened materials for proper size, quality, and contamination.
- Identify blockages, equipment faults, excessive vibration, or abnormal machine operation.
- Perform basic cleaning and routine checks of screening equipment.
- Assist maintenance personnel with equipment repairs when required.
- Ensure proper handling and movement of screened materials.
- Maintain accurate production and equipment operation records.
- Follow production schedules and meet daily output targets.
- Keep the screening area clean and organized.
- Follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures.
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Report equipment faults, safety hazards, and production challenges to the supervisor.
- Work closely with machine operators, maintenance teams, and production supervisors.
Requirements:
- Proven years of experience operating or working with screening equipment.
- Experience in a quarry, construction, mining, aggregate, or manufacturing environment is an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of screening machines, conveyors, crushers, and material-processing equipment.
- Ability to identify basic machine faults and production problems.
- Good physical fitness and ability to work in dusty and outdoor environments.
- Strong attention to safety and operational procedures.
- Ability to follow instructions and production schedules.
- Good observation and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, or extended hours when required.
- Relevant technical training or trade certification is an advantage.
