Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive regional sales strategies to achieve assigned revenue targets across all territories within the region, ensuring consistent growth and market penetration.  
  • Drive revenue generation by expanding the customer base across distributors, contractors, project clients, institutions, and retail channels, while ensuring optimal coverage of key markets within the region.  
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including large-scale projects, government contracts, and strategic partnerships, to support market expansion and long-term growth. 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including distributors, contractors, procurement managers, and decision-makers to drive repeat business and customer loyalty.  Monitor regional sales performance on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis, analyzing gaps and implementing corrective actions to ensure targets are achieved. 
  • Ensure effective debt management by monitoring customer credit exposure, enforcing approved credit limits, and reducing outstanding receivables across all accounts. 
  • Drive collection efficiency by ensuring timely follow-up on invoices, improving payment cycles, and working closely with finance to resolve delayed or disputed payments.  ZOBIS CABLE NIG. LTD Power Beyond Your Dreams.......
  • Implement structured credit control strategies tailored to regional market realities, including milestone-based payments for project clients, strict cash policies for trade markets, and controlled exposure in high-risk areas. 
  • Ensure all sales transactions align with approved pricing structures to protect and improve gross margins, while maintaining competitiveness within the market.   
  • Continuously monitor competitor pricing, market trends, and customer behavior to adjust pricing and sales strategies appropriately. 
  • Prepare accurate and data-driven sales forecasts, aligning with production and supply chain planning to ensure product availability and efficient order fulfillment. 
  • Track sales pipeline, order flow, and demand patterns to improve forecast reliability and support business planning. 
  • Ensure full compliance with CRM usage by accurately capturing all customer data, sales activities, pipeline updates, and transactions in the system. 
  • Submit timely and accurate sales reports, including performance updates, collection reports, and market intelligence (CRM Compliance & Reporting). 
  • Conduct regular market visits across all territories within the region to monitor customer engagement, competitor activities, pricing trends, and emerging opportunities. 
  • Address customer complaints and service issues promptly, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention. 
  • Coordinate closely with operations, logistics, and production teams to ensure timely delivery of products, especially in regions with logistical challenges. 
  • Adapt sales strategies to regional dynamics, including: 
  • Driving project-based sales in industrial and oil-producing regions 
  • Leveraging distributor networks in high-volume trade markets 
  • Targeting institutional and government opportunities where applicable 
  • Managing logistics, security, and credit risks in emerging or high-risk regions 
  • Lead, supervise, and manage Sales Executives within the region, ensuring performance alignment, accountability, and continuous development. 
  • Provide coaching, performance monitoring, and support to drive team productivity and achievement of sales and collection targets. 
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, credit control procedures, and sales governance standards at all times. 
  • Ensure adherence to Quality Management System (QMS) procedures, policies, and standards where applicable. 
  • Identify operational and commercial risks within the region and implement appropriate mitigation strategies. 
  • Carry out any other duties as may be assigned by Management in line with business objectives.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of an HND in any related field 
  • A minimum of 4 years experience
