Job summary

The Sales Manager is responsible for leading the sales team, developing sales strategies, increasing revenue, expanding the customer base, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve company sales targets.
  • Lead, supervise, coach, and motivate the sales team.
  • Set monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for sales representatives.
  • Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance.
  • Identify new business opportunities and expand the customer base.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
  • Prepare accurate sales forecasts and budgets.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
  • Ensure prompt follow-up on customer inquiries and complaints.
  • Coordinate with finance, procurement, production, and operations to ensure timely product availability and delivery.
  • Prepare and present periodic sales reports to management.
  • Monitor outstanding customer debts and work with the finance department to improve collections.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and ethical sales practices.
  • Organize sales meetings, product training, and performance reviews.


Requirements:

  • Minimum of an HND in Marketing, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in sales and sales management.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and customer relationship management skills.
  • Good analytical and reporting abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and sales reporting tools.
