Job summary
The Risk and Loss Prevention Engineer / Specialist II will provide high-level technical oversight to ensure all project engineering activities strictly adhere to safety and regulatory standards. By performing critical risk assessments and developing robust safety frameworks, this role plays a vital part in mitigating operational hazards and maintaining the integrity of Kimeric Group’s project delivery. This is an onsite position based in Nigeria with no travel requirements.

Responsibilities:
- Evaluate discipline engineering work against complex project specifications, international company standards, and local regulatory requirements.
- Execute comprehensive risk studies and consequence analyses, including advanced toxic gas dispersion modeling to predict and mitigate environmental and safety hazards.
- Formalize safety standards into documented company practices to ensure long-term operational consistency and compliance.
- Facilitate alignment across multi-disciplinary project teams and stakeholders by clearly communicating technical risk findings and mitigation strategies.
- Manage documentation and reporting processes to ensure all safety criteria are met within strict project timelines and high-pressure operational environments.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a closely related field with a dedicated focus on Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) and Loss Prevention.
- Minimum of 6–10 years of professional experience in risk and loss prevention engineering, specifically within the oil and gas industry.
- Comprehensive knowledge of industry design standards, international codes, and safety criteria, with the ability to interpret and apply them to complex engineering tasks.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite for technical documentation, data analysis, and professional reporting.
- Exceptional verbal and written English skills for effective technical and business communication with cross-functional teams.
- Proven ability to manage a heavy workload and adapt to shifting priorities while meeting rigorous project deadlines.
