BeSocial, operating under PowerShop, a remote-first company, is at the forefront of creator commerce, building a leading platform that bridges creators and merchants for mutually beneficial collaborations.
We're seeking a talented Senior Fullstack Software Developer to become an integral part of our expanding team, contributing significantly to the development and maintenance of our mobile and backend applications.
The Opportunity
In this dynamic role, you'll utilize your expertise in both mobile and backend development to impact all facets of the development lifecycle. Collaborating closely with designers, product managers, and engineers, you'll design, develop, test, and deploy features across our iOS, Android, and web applications.
Your proficiency in social video, fintech, and e-commerce will be pivotal in constructing secure and user-friendly payment functionalities within the PowerShop platform.
Key Responsibilities

• Leading a team of developers: Providing guidance and mentorship to engineers, fostering collaboration and a high-performance development environment.
• Driving technical execution: Designing and delivering robust, scalable, and secure solutions across mobile and backend applications.
• Championing e-commerce & fintech expertise: Spearheading the development of user-friendly payment functionalities, ensuring seamless integration of mobile payments, bill payment, money transfers, and in-app purchases.
• Developing social video app: Leading the creation of a social video platform akin to TikTok but for Web 3.
• Collaborating across disciplines: Working closely with designers, product managers, and engineers to translate business requirements into technical specifications and deliver exceptional user experiences.
• Developing, testing, and deploying high-quality, maintainable, and scalable features for our iOS, Android (React Native), and backend (Node.js) applications.
• Collaborating with designers and product managers to translate product requirements into technical specifications.
• Writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
• Conducting unit and integration testing to ensure code quality and functionality.
• Participating in code reviews and providing constructive feedback to fellow developers.
• Staying up-to-date with the latest mobile development technologies and best practices.
• Proactively identifying and implementing improvements to the codebase.
• Working effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Fullstack Software Developer.
• Strong experience in mobile development, preferably with React Native, IOS, and Android.
• Proven experience in backend development with Node.js and a solid understanding of server-side architecture.
• Experience in building e-commerce and social video platforms and integrating payment solutions.
• Experience implementing bill payment, money transfer, credit purchase, and data purchasing functionalities within an app.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  

Bonus Points

• Experience with building applications in the creator economy or social commerce or social video space.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, etc.).
