Remote Backend Developer

Accountabilities

• Develop, test and release new functionality for the platform.
• Help define and shape new product features in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Contribute to improving team dynamics and organizational culture.
• Optimize backend systems to efficiently manage energy data.
• Work collaboratively with engineers to enhance system performance.
• Engage in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.

Requirements

• 3-6 years of professional experience in software development.
• Proficient in a high-level programming language (Python preferred).
• Strong knowledge of relational databases, preferably Postgres.
• Experience in energy, commodity trading, or financial markets is a plus.
• Strong commitment to team best practices and culture.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Familiar with remote work and startup environments.
• Understanding of cloud infrastructure and deployment (Kubernetes, Azure).
• Ability to write well-tested, maintainable code.
