Educational & Professional Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying.
- Master’s degree is an added advantage
- Professional certification (e.g., NIQS, RICS, or equivalent) is highly preferred
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in quantity surveying within construction or real estate development
- Proven experience managing multiple large-scale residential or infrastructure projects
- Strong background in cost planning, cost control, and contract administration
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in cost estimation, budgeting, and financial reporting
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and local market rates
- Experience with Bills of Quantities (BOQ) preparation and analysis
- Familiarity with standard forms of contract
- Proficiency in QS and project management software (e.g., CostX, PlanSwift, MS Project, Excel)
Key Responsibilities (Summary)
- Prepare and manage project budgets and cost plans
- Conduct cost analysis, feasibility studies, and value engineering
- Prepare tender documents, evaluate bids, and make recommendations
- Monitor project costs and ensure financial efficiency
- Manage variations, claims, and final accounts
- Liaise with consultants, contractors, and project stakeholders
