Appnable is an enterprise technology partner specialising in digital automation and bespoke software development. For over two decades we have been the trusted advisor to major global organisations, helping them turn complex operational challenges into streamlined, high-performing assets.
Quality is not an afterthought in how we build. This internship is a chance to own the craft of software quality from day one, learning how disciplined testing protects real client outcomes, not just tickets on a board.
The Role
You will join our delivery team with a focus on quality and testing, working under our QA and Delivery Lead. Your core responsibilities will include:
Testing and Quality Assurance
- Write and maintain clear, repeatable test cases from feature requirements and acceptance criteria
- Carry out manual and exploratory testing across web applications, catching issues before clients do
- Run regression checks ahead of releases and confirm fixes have not broken anything else
- Test across browsers and devices to confirm consistent behaviour
Defect Management
- Log defects with clean, reproducible steps, screenshots and expected-versus-actual detail so engineers can act quickly
- Track issues through to resolution and verify fixes
- Help maintain a shared view of product quality and known issues
Documentation and Process
- Maintain test plans, checklists and QA documentation as products evolve
- Document QA processes for future handoffs
- Support the team in raising the overall standard of what we ship
Skills and Attributes
Technical
- Attention to detail: you notice the small things others miss, and you care about getting them right
- Understanding of the software lifecycle: a working grasp of how software is built, released and maintained
- Web fundamentals: enough familiarity with HTML, CSS and how web applications behave to test them intelligently
- Tools: comfortable, or quick to learn, with tools such as browser developer tools, Postman and an issue tracker (GitHub Issues or Jira)
- AI and testing: an interest in using AI tools to help generate and accelerate testing is a real plus
- Bonus: any exposure to test automation, basic scripting, or API testing
Professional
- Clear communication: you can describe a problem precisely so someone else can reproduce and fix it
- Persistence and curiosity: you enjoy pulling at threads until you understand why something breaks
- Collaborative mindset: you work closely with engineers rather than throwing issues over a wall
- A genuine interest in B2B technology and enterprise software, and the self-motivation to work independently in a remote environment
Why You'll Like Working With Us
- Direct mentorship: you will work directly alongside experienced engineers and our QA and Delivery Lead, and learn quality engineering properly
- High-impact work: the quality you protect is quality clients actually feel. Your work directly affects whether we retain and grow accounts
- Strategic insight: a front-row seat to how a real product is built and shipped under real client pressure
- A route forward: a strong finisher may be offered a junior QA role at the end of the programme
If the description largely describes you, even if it sounds a little daunting, please apply. We consider all applications. Applications close on Friday 7 August 2026.
