Job Summary
The role is to assist in controlling occupational risk and minimize losses by monitoring and improving the safety of work activities, to prevent accidents.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Outline safe operational practices & procedures to all employees, ensuring that all operational activities are carried out in accordance with Company’s safety policies, statutory regulations & guidelines
- Assist Management in developing and implementing their HSE plans and advise on operational safety matters related to the works.
- Co-ordinate and conduct inspections/audits of facilities and activities to ensure compliance to safe and good work practices in accordance to statutory requirement of the Factories and Machinery ACT and all safety Procedures.
- Give safety presentation with the objective to enhance the health, safety and Environment awareness of all workers
- Assist in accident investigation, reporting and monitor their follow up in accordance to safety procedures.
- Identify and report various work-site accident hazards, and conduct risk assessments designed to mitigate such
- Leading in-house trainer for safe working practices and procedures for work site operations & procedures.
- Delivering safety induction training to new employees and refreshers to all employees during monthly safety meetings
- Developing & maintain training & competency records
- Perform periodic inspections of, and prepare inspection reports for, Company equipment (including safety equipment), as required
- Take part in all accident/incident/near miss investigations, ensuring accident report forms are completed
- Assist to implement and manage the Company’s emergency response procedures, including the management of regular emergency exercises such as fire drills
- Plan and carry out unsafe acts/condition audits of operational activities and report results
- Monitor and report progress on effective vehicle journey management of the company
- Ensure that adequate preparations, documentation, and verifications are made prior to all contract mobilization
- Facilitate and ensure that all audits and active site/facility inspection in the company are carried out as well as participate in such audits
- Drive the process for ISO 9000 certification
- Monitor and report progress on activities relating to the completion of action items resulting from audits and facility inspections in the company.
- Perform periodic inspections of, and prepare inspection reports for, Company equipment (including safety equipment), as required
- Take part in all accident/incident/near miss investigations, ensuring accident report forms are completed
- Ensure that monthly HSE meetings are organized and minutes distributed promptly.
- Ensure monthly reports of HSE statistics are collated.
- Ensure a performance monitoring system to assess knowledge of and compliance with the HSE plan and utilize it to report performance against set targets
- Interact with internal and external auditors in completing audits.
Requirements:
- Minimum academic qualification of HND degree in any discipline
- 3 year of working experience
