Job Summary

Our client is looking to hire a suitable candidate to fill this position. The Project Engineer will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing projects within the decided-upon budget, timeline, and scope. They will also effectively monitor and present project updates to relevant stakeholders, clients, or project team members.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans that merge customer requirements with company goals and coordinate various managers and technical personnel during all project phases, from initial development through implementation.
  • Project Coordination: Monitor project progress continuously and make detailed scheduled reports on measurable items, such as milestones and deliverables.
  • Risk Management: Communicate proactively with all involved personnel to provide encouragement, identify problems, create solutions, and implement efficiency improvements
  • Quality Control: Review the engineering tasks and initiate the necessary corrective actions to ensure the project quality
  • Budgeting: Analyze the profitability, revenue, margins, bill rates and utilization across projects.
  • Client and Stakeholder Communication: Maintain regular communication with clients and other project stakeholders. 
  • Provide progress reports and address any concerns or issues raised by stakeholders.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Prepare and maintain project documentation, including engineering drawings, specifications, and reports.
  • Generate regular progress reports for management and clients.


General Duties:

  • Ensure operations are carried out as per laydown procedures and standard safety methods are observed.
  • Plan and monitor the day-to-day running of business operations to ensure smooth progress and profitability
  • Evaluate the efficiency of business procedures according to organizational objectives regularly and apply improvements.
  • Making sure safety regulations are followed.
  • Keeping employees motivated and organizing appropriate training
  • Ensure operating objectives and standards of performance are owned by management as well as employees


Requirements:

  • Should possess 3 - 5 years of experience in Project Engineering in the Oil and Gas field.
  • Shall possess a bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical/Electrical).
  • Project Management Certified
  • COREN Certified
  • HSE certified.

Skills

  • Excellent use of MS Office suite, including PowerPoint, Excel and Word
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent analytical and strategic thinking
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities
  • Excellent organizational skill


Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in either Microsoft Project, Primavera, or AutoCAD
  • Project management
  • Technical understanding in engineering principles, design techniques
  • Quality control processes
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Budgeting and cost control.
