Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Own project execution from planning and site readiness through deployment, installation, commissioning and operational support.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, milestones, owners, dependencies, risks, schedules and action trackers.
  • Drive agreed installation and deployment targets across active Grid Platforms projects.
  • Maintain100% Data Availability Rate (DAR) as the operating target across deployed controllers and coordinate recovery whenever performance drops.
  • Monitor field performance and drive issues involving controllers, meters, SIMs, connectivity, cloud systems, site access and commissioning to closure.
  • Manage installers and field teams, including scheduling, readiness, performance, documentation and issue resolution.
  • Maintain accurate inventory visibility for controllers, meters, SIMs, accessories, spare parts, equipment issued to field teams, and damaged or returned items.
  • Coordinate suppliers and vendors, track commitments and delivery timelines, and escalate risks before they affect project schedules.
  • Ensure equipment, site, network, installer and stakeholder readiness before field deployment.
  • Maintain project documentation, issue logs, risk registers, inventory records, commissioning records and other operational trackers.
  • Provide concise leadership reporting covering project progress, DAR, installations, inventory, blockers, risks, actions and decisions required.
  • Track project costs, supplier commitments and operational expenditure against approved budgets.
  • Coordinate effectively with utility stakeholders and support project, regulatory and documentation requirements.
  • Build and improve practical operating processes, checklists, SOPs and reporting systems.
  • Support other Grid Platforms projects and business operations priorities as required by the company.

Requirements:

  • HND or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain or a related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in project management, business operations, field operations, infrastructure, telecommunications, IoT, energy or a related sector.
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects with multiple stakeholders, dependencies and deadlines.
  • Experience coordinating field teams, installers, suppliers, vendors or technical deployments.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets for trackers, analysis, reconciliations and operational reporting.
  • Ability to create clear PowerPoint presentations and concise management updates.
  • Strong organizational, numerical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to identify project risks, establish ownership and drive issues through closure.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Comfortable working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Willingness and ability to undertake domestic and occasional international travel, sometimes on relatively short notice.
  • Experience in electricity metering, utilities, IoT deployments, telecommunications or energy infrastructure is advantageous but not mandatory.

What Success Looks Like:

  • Projects have clear plans, owners, milestones and deadlines.
  • Installation and deployment targets are consistently driven to completion.
  • DAR is monitored daily and performance issues are identified and acted upon quickly.
  • Critical blockers are escalated early rather than discovered after deadlines are missed.
  • Inventory can be accurately reconciled from procurement through deployment, return or replacement.
  • Vendors, installers and field teams have clear commitments and are actively followed through.
  • Leadership has accurate, current visibility into project status, risks and decisions required without having to chase for updates.
  • Problems are not simply reported; they are owned and driven toward resolution.

Who We Are Looking For:

  • We want someone who takes ownership.
  • You should be comfortable asking: What is the blocker? Who owns it? When will it be resolved? What happens if it is not?
  • You should be able to move between a project schedule, an inventory tracker, a supplier discussion, a field issue and a leadership update without losing sight of the overall project objective.
  • You do not need to be an engineer, but you should be comfortable working around technical products and asking enough questions to understand what is preventing execution.
  • We particularly value people who are structured, commercially aware, proactive, detail-oriented and able to operate effectively in a growing company.
