Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Project Accountant located in Akure. The Project Accountant will be responsible for managing financial transactions related to real estate projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis. They will oversee project accounting, prepare financial reports, ensure compliance with financial regulations, and work closely with project teams to ensure financial goals are met. The role also involves monitoring expenses, reconciling accounts, and contributing to overall financial strategy and performance.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in accounting principles, project budgeting, and cost analysis
- Strong skills in financial reporting, reconciliation, and compliance
- Proficiency in project management tools and financial systems
- Knowledge of real estate or construction accounting is advantageous
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with cross-functional colleagues
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
- Professional certifications such as ACA or ACCA are a plus
- Resident in Akure or willing to relocate
