Company Description Foundry for Girls Foundation (FFGF) is a nonprofit organization committed to advancing parity and opportunity for girls through leadership development, education, and emotional resilience. Role Description This is an on-site volunteer role based in Ibadan. The Volunteer Staff member will support the planning and delivery of programs, including leadership workshops, mentorship sessions, and skills training activities for girls. Responsibilities include assisting with session facilitation, preparing materials, helping with registration. The role also involves engaging directly with participants in a supportive and respectful manner, listening to their needs, and helping to create a safe, inclusive environment. Volunteers may contribute to basic program documentation, simple reporting, and outreach efforts under the guidance of program leads.
What we are looking for:
Speakers and Mentors: To lead the talks on mental health and menstrual hygiene.
• Logistics and Coordination Hands: To manage the distribution of sanitary pads and keep the school event running smoothly.
Media and Documentation Advocates: To capture the photos, videos, and stories of your impact.
Qualifications
- Ability to communicate clearly, listen actively, and interact with young people in a respectful, encouraging, and gender-sensitive manner.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with reliability in following schedules and completing assigned tasks.
- Interest in girl-focused empowerment, education, leadership development, and menstrual health advocacy.
- Capacity to work collaboratively in a team, take direction from supervisors, and show initiative where needed.
- Comfort supporting group activities, workshops, and community events in an on-site setting.
- Open-minded, non-judgmental attitude and commitment to inclusivity, safeguarding, and confidentiality.
- Prior volunteer or community engagement experience is an advantage but not required.
- Minimum of a secondary school education; additional training in education, social work, community development, or related fields is a plus.
