Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
Production Planning & Coordination:
- Develop daily, weekly, and monthly production plans.
- Allocate materials, manpower, and machinery for smooth production.
- Coordinate with procurement, warehouse, and engineering departments.
Operations Management:
- Monitor production activities to ensure targets are met.
- Identify workflow issues and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure optimal machine utilization and minimal downtime.
Staff Supervision & Leadership:
- Supervise production supervisors, operators, and shift teams.
- Conduct training, coaching, and performance evaluations.
- Maintain discipline, teamwork, and strong work ethics.
Quality Assurance:
- Ensure products meet quality and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with QA/QC teams on inspections and quality checks.
- Investigate product defects and implement corrective measures.
Safety & Compliance:
- Enforce health, safety, and environmental (HSE) rules.
- Conduct safety briefings and ensure proper use of PPE.
- Maintain a safe and clean production environment.
Process Improvement:
- Analyze production processes to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
- Implement Lean, Kaizen, 5S, or similar continuous improvement practices.
- Recommend machine upgrades or workflow enhancements.
Reporting & Documentation:
- Prepare production reports on output, downtime, waste, and efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of production activities.
- Monitor and report key performance indicators (KPIs).
Cost & Resource Management:
- Control production costs and reduce wastage.
- Support budgeting and cost forecasting.
- Ensure efficient use of materials, equipment, and labor.
Requirements:
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree in production management, Industrial Technology, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of production/manufacturing experience.
- Supervisory or managerial experience preferred.
- Certifications in Lean, Six Sigma, or PMP are added advantages.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making ability.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of quality and safety standards.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in production management tools/software.
