Product Officer
Job summary
We are looking for a proactive and analytical Product Officer to support the development, improvement, and management of our digital lending products and platforms. The successful candidate will work closely with technology, operations, credit, marketing, and other teams to ensure that our products meet customer needs.

Responsibilities:
- Support the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from identifying opportunities and defining requirements to testing, launch, and continuous improvement.
- Gather and analyse customer feedback, business requirements, and market trends to identify product improvement opportunities.
- Translate business and customer needs into clear product requirements, user stories, and functional specifications.
- Work closely with developers, designers, and other stakeholders to ensure products are delivered according to requirements.
- Participate in product testing, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and identify, document, and follow up on bugs or product issues.
- Monitor product performance and user behaviour and use data to recommend improvements.
- Support the design and improvement of user journeys and overall customer experience.
- Conduct competitor and market research to identify opportunities for product innovation and differentiation.
- Maintain product documentation, workflows, specifications, and product roadmaps.
- Coordinate with relevant teams to ensure smooth product launches, updates, and feature rollouts.
- Identify product risks, operational challenges, and areas for improvement and recommend practical solutions.
- Track product-related KPIs and prepare reports and insights for management.
- Ensure product features and processes align with applicable business, regulatory, and compliance requirements.
- Support the continuous improvement of the company's digital lending platform and related customer-facing processes.
Requirements:
- Strong product management and product development skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Good understanding of UX/UI principles and user-centered product design.
- Familiarity with web development concepts, APIs, databases, and software development processes.
- Ability to write clear product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively with developers, designers, business teams, and senior management.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Good understanding of product analytics and data-driven decision-making.
- Proficiency with product/project management and collaboration tools.
- Ability to identify problems, investigate root causes, and recommend practical solutions.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
- Professional certification in Product Management, Agile, Scrum, or a related discipline is an added advantage.
- 3 years of experience in Product Management.
- Strong familiarity with UX and web development.
- Experience in Fintech, digital lending, financial services, or lending platforms is preferred.
- Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage products through different stages of the product lifecycle.
- Strong understanding of digital products and customer-focused product development.
