Procurement Officer

Responsibilities:

• Source and evaluate suppliers based on quality, cost, reliability, and delivery performance.
• Obtain and compare quotations to ensure competitive pricing and value for money.
• Prepare and process purchase requisitions, purchase orders (POs), and other procurement documents.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, and contract conditions with suppliers.
• Coordinate the timely procurement and delivery of goods and services.
• Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with the Store/Inventory team to ensure stock availability.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier databases, and contract documentation.
• Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor supplier performance and resolve procurement-related issues.
• Liaise with internal departments to understand purchasing requirements and specifications.
• Verify that purchased items meet required quality standards and specifications.
• Prepare procurement reports, cost analyses, and expenditure summaries.
• Support budget control by monitoring procurement costs and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and service providers.
• Perform any other procurement-related duties assigned by management.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or HND in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration and Logistics or a related field.
• Professional certification such as CIPS, CIPSMN, or equivalent is an added advantage.
