Job summary

The Procurement Officer is responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement of goods, services, and works required for operations. This includes sourcing materials, equipment, chemicals, consumables, and professional services in a cost-effective, timely, and compliant manner.

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute procurement plans for goods and services in alignment with operational budgets and project schedules.
  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard qualified vendors, suppliers, and service providers through a structured prequalification process.
  • Issue Requests for Quotations (RFQs), Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and Invitations to Tender (ITTs), and manage the bid evaluatIon process.
  • Negotiate contracts, commercial terms, pricing, and service level agreements (SLAs) with vendors to achieve best value for money.
  • Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs) and coordinate with Finance for timely payment to vendors.
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with the Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry Content Development Act and NCDMB guidelines.
  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date vendor database, contract register, and procurement tracker.
  • Coordinate with the Stores/Warehouse team to monitor inventory levels and initiate replenishment orders as required.
  • Track and expedite delivery of purchased goods and services to ensure alignment with project and operational timelines.
  • Identify procurement risks and implement mitigation strategies to avoid supply chain disruptions.
  • Ensure proper documentation of all procurement activities for audit purposes and regulatory compliance.
  • Prepare periodic procurement reports including spend analysis, savings reports, and supplier performance reviews.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional membership of CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply) or CIPSMN is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 4 years of procurement experience in the oil and gas, energy, or engineering sector.
  • Working knowledge of NCDMB requirements, Nigerian Content procurement plans, and NIPEX portal operations.
  • Experience with ERP procurement modules (Tally, Oracle Procurement, or similar).
  • Familiarity with INCOTERMS, import/export procedures, and freight management for oilfield equipment.


Remuneration: NGN 350,000 - 450,000/Month


Location: Mowe, Ogun State
