Responsibilities:
- Formulate and implement procurement strategies in alignment with organizational objectives.
- Direct the sourcing, evaluation, negotiation, and contractual management of suppliers.
- Provide supervision and professional development to a team of procurement officers and analysts.
- Identify and pursue cost-reduction opportunities while upholding quality and regulatory compliance standards.
- Establish and maintain productive, professional relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
- Monitor prevailing market conditions and assess supplier risk to inform sourcing decisions.
- Ensure that all procurement activities adhere to organizational policy and relevant statutory requirements.
- Liaise with finance, operations, and other departments to accurately forecast procurement requirements.
- Compile comprehensive procurement reports and present performance metrics to senior management.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Economics, or a closely related discipline is required.
- A Master's degree (MBA or MSc in Supply Chain Management/Procurement) is considered advantageous.
- Professional certification, such as CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply), CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management), or CPP (Certified Purchasing Professional), is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in procurement or supply chain management is required, including no fewer than two (2) years in a senior or leadership capacity.
- Demonstrated experience in the negotiation and management of supplier contracts is essential.
