Nigeria's foremost Sixth-Form College located in Ikoyi, Lagos, Nigeria is seeking the services of a highly qualified and experienced college Principal who is dedicated to maintaining Responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive strategies to run the College, attract prospective students, and enhance its reputation within the community.

  • Minimum Qualification : MBA / MSc
  • Experience Level : Executive level
  • Experience Length : 10 years

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a cohesive School Improvement Plan and strategies that align with the overall objectives and goals of the college
  • Lead and work closely with academic departments, administrative teams and support staff to ensure alignment with the overall goals and objectives of the college
  • Develop programmes that support different categories of learners – providing an atmosphere free of any bias in which students can achieve their maximum potential
  • Oversee all aspects of academics within the school and make decisions related to the curriculum – ensuring that academic policies and curriculum are adhered to
  • Support teachers to maximize their teaching potential
  • Develop and effectively manage the school`s budget to ensure optimal resource allocation for maximum impact.
  • Utilize available resources in identifying, mapping and prioritizing stakeholders to determine the best tactics for effective communication, engagement and management
  • Analyze data and report to board on progress achieved on a regular basis
  • Develop and track benchmarks for measuring institutional success


Requirements:

  • A Master’s degree (preferably in Education).
  • Minimum of (10) ten years of working experience as a school leader or principal
  • Strategic and business knowledge about how to run a school effectively and provide its students with high-quality education and resources
  • Valid teaching license and membership of at least one relevant Professional body
  • Strong leadership skills and experience leading a team of highly skilled individual
  • Excellent organizational skills, as well as the ability to approach work methodically, prioritize tasks and meet stringent deadlines
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with various stakeholders
  • Problem solving skills. Aptitude for identifying challenges and developing innovative solutions coupled with quick-decision making abilities
  • Able to pay meticulous attention to detail, particularly in managing school operations and processes
  • Good collaborative skills and stakeholder management with ability to foster positive relationships with team members, educators, parents, and community partners   
  • Analytical Skills, Tech-savvy and ability to leverage digital platforms for effective communication and stakeholder engagement & management: Familiarity with relevant management tools and technologies, a sound knowledge of Excel, data collation and analysis are very important.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changes in the educational landscape
  • Commitment to ethical practices and adherence to industry standards and regulations
  • Creative thinking, innovation and the ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams
