Pop Installer

Responsibilities:

• Measure and prepare surfaces for tile installation.
• Read and interpret basic construction drawings, layouts, and measurements.
• Cut and shape tiles accurately using appropriate tools and equipment.
• Install ceramic, porcelain, marble, granite, and other types of tiles.
• Apply adhesives, cement, grout, and other tiling materials correctly.
• Lay tiles according to specified patterns, designs, and measurements.
• Ensure tiles are properly aligned, levelled, spaced, and securely fixed.
• Install tiles on floors, walls, bathrooms, kitchens, staircases, and other surfaces.
• Carry out repairs and replacement of damaged or loose tiles.
• Apply grout and sealants and ensure neat finishing.
• Inspect completed work to identify and correct defects.
• Maintain tiling tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Keep the work area clean and properly organized.
• Follow construction site safety procedures and use appropriate PPE.
• Work closely with masons, carpenters, plumbers, electricians, and site supervisors.
• Complete assigned tiling projects within the required timeframe and quality standards.

Requirements:

• Proven years of practical tiling experience.
• Proven experience in residential, commercial, or building construction projects.
• Good knowledge of different types of tiles, adhesives, grout, and finishing materials.
• Ability to take accurate measurements and calculate material requirements.
• Skilled in using tile cutters, grinders, levels, and other tiling tools.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent finishing skills.
• Good knowledge of surface preparation and tile installation techniques.
• Physically fit and able to work for extended periods on construction sites.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good understanding of construction site safety procedures.
• Trade certification or apprenticeship training is an advantage.
